I founded the Institute of Women\u2019s Studies 30 years ago in Manila, Philippines. We have two major courses, the Intercultural Course for Women and Society, a two months women\u2019s studies course for women of Asia-Pacific and Africa. The second is Trainors\u2019 Training which aims at making more women who took up a women\u2019s course with us capable of giving the same awareness seminar to women in their own schools or areas of work. I think this course is very important because it has multiplier effect in making women aware of their rights and giving them the skills for empowerment. I thank the Women\u2019s World Day of Prayer in helping us reach more women with their generous funding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Je suis S\u0153ur Mary John Mananzan<\/strong>, une s\u0153ur b\u00e9n\u00e9dictine missionnaire. J&#8217;ai fond\u00e9 l&#8217;Institut d&#8217;\u00e9tudes f\u00e9minines il y a 30 ans \u00e0 Manille, aux Philippines. Nous avons deux cours principaux, le cours interculturel \u00abFemmes et soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00bb, un cours de deux mois d&#8217;\u00e9tudes f\u00e9minines pour les femmes d&#8217;Asie, du Pacifique et d&#8217;Afrique. Le deuzi\u00e8me est \u00abTrainors\u2019 Training\u00bb qui vise \u00e0 rendre plus de femmes, qui ont suivi un de nos cours de base, capables de donner le m\u00eame cours de sensibilisation aux femmes de leur endroit, dans leur propre \u00e9cole ou groupe de femmes locale. Pour moi, ce cours est tr\u00e8s important car il a un effet multiplicateur en faisant prendre conscience aux femmes de leurs droits et en leur donnant les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 leur autonomisation.
